Newman Millhollon-Turner is a Grief Specialist, minister, and the creator of Pride Faith Voices, a platform dedicated to uplifting and connecting LGBTQ+ Christian ministers. With a deep commitment to supporting the personal well-being of church leaders, Newman understands that the health of those who guide others is essential to fulfilling their sacred calling. Through thoughtful care, encouragement, and innovative initiatives like Pride Faith Voices, Newman seeks to nurture the hearts of those who pour so much into their communities.

Born into a family of ministering parents, Newman grew up immersed in the world of Christian leadership. By the age of five, Newman’s parents had been called to missionary work, adding to an already thriving ministry. As the youngest child and born on his mother’s birthday, Newman, the gay son of Pentecostal ministers, naturally found himself in a supportive role, observing and assisting his parents’ work.

With over 40 years of firsthand experience, Newman has gained unique insights into the challenges and pitfalls faced by those in ministry. His lifelong exposure to the intricacies of Christian leadership—combined with a deep sense of care—has shaped a wisdom that goes beyond what traditional academic settings could offer.

What I Offer

I provide a safe and supportive space for Christian leaders to reconnect with themselves and their calling. Through grief recovery, emotional well-being support, and a focus on holistic health, I help leaders navigate the burdens of ministry with greater clarity and resilience. My work includes creating resources like Pride Faith Voices, which fosters connection, advocacy, and inspiration for LGBTQ+ ministers in Christian ministry.

I understand the emotional and spiritual toll of leading others and aim to empower ministers to find healing, balance, and renewed strength in their journey. My work is rooted in a deep conviction that those called to lead must also be cared for and equipped to thrive—not just for their sake, but for the sake of those they shepherd. By addressing unresolved grief and nurturing emotional health, I help leaders rediscover the joy and peace that come from living and ministering with a whole heart.

In serving those who serve, I hope to be a source of encouragement and a reminder that even shepherds need tending. This is why I do what I do—to honor the sacred calling of Christian ministry and to ensure its leaders have the support they need to continue their vital work.
