1. Our editorial purpose
Pride Faith Voices publishes LGBTQ+-affirming stories, sermons, reflections, commentary, educational material, ministry profiles, and personal experiences.
Our purpose is to create space for people navigating faith, identity, religious rejection, grief, healing, deconstruction, spirituality, and belonging.
We welcome contributors with different theological, denominational, spiritual, and personal perspectives. Contributors are not required to arrive at the same conclusions about Christianity, religion, reconstruction, or life after deconstruction.
However, published content must respect the dignity, safety, identity, and agency of LGBTQ+ people.
2. Who may contribute
Contributors must be 18 years of age or older.
Writers, ministers, clergy members, advocates, allies, educators, artists, community members, and people sharing lived experiences may submit material for consideration.
Submitting content does not guarantee publication, a contributor profile, or an ongoing relationship with Pride Faith Voices.
3. Content we consider
Pride Faith Voices may consider:
Personal stories and lived experiences.
Sermons and devotional reflections.
Biblical or theological commentary.
Deconstruction and reconstruction experiences.
Stories about religious rejection, grief, healing, and spiritual homelessness.
LGBTQ+-affirming ministry perspectives.
Commentary on faith, identity, culture, and community.
Educational resources.
Poetry, prayers, and creative writing.
Recorded sermons, interviews, or video content.
Ministry and contributor profiles.
Material from allies and community supporters.
Content does not have to promote Christianity. Work may explore uncertainty, reconstructed faith, alternative spirituality, religious departure, or life without religious identification.
4. How to submit

A working title.
The complete proposed article or material.

If a submission includes another person’s photograph, personal story, private information, or identifying details, the contributor is responsible for obtaining appropriate permission.
8. Editing and contributor approval

Readability.
Accessibility.
Length.
Headings and organization.
Repetition.
Site style.
Search descriptions.
Titles and introductory summaries.
Removal of unnecessary identifying or sensitive information.
We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the contributor’s meaning and voice.
Material changes to a contributor’s position, personal story, theology, or conclusions should be discussed with the contributor before publication.
When practical, the contributor will have an opportunity to review the final version before it is published.
Pride Faith Voices may decline to publish a submission if the contributor and editor cannot agree on necessary changes.

Contributors should distinguish among:

Opinion.
Theological interpretation.
Verifiable fact.
Allegation.
Quotation.
Parody or satire.
Claims about identifiable people, organizations, medical matters, laws, statistics, research, or current events should be supported with trustworthy sources when reasonably possible.
Quotations must be accurate and attributed.
Contributors should not present rumors, assumptions, artificial-intelligence output, or social-media speculation as established fact.
Personal stories may describe the contributor’s honest memory and experience, but contributors should avoid claiming to know another person’s motives or private thoughts.
10. Privacy and personal stories
Personal stories can be powerful, but publication can have lasting consequences.
Before submitting a personal story, consider whether it reveals:
Your legal name or location.
Family relationships.
Health or mental-health information.
Religious affiliation.
Sexual orientation or gender identity.
Employment or ministry information.
Trauma or abuse.
Details that could identify another person.
Pride Faith Voices may recommend changing names, removing identifying details, using a publication name, or delaying publication when safety or privacy concerns exist.
We will not intentionally publish a prayer request, healing request, private form submission, or private correspondence as an article without additional communication and permission.
11. LGBTQ+-affirming standards
Pride Faith Voices does not publish material that promotes:
Conversion therapy or attempts to change sexual orientation or gender identity.
The belief that LGBTQ+ identity makes someone less worthy, less human, or unfit for spiritual community.
Harassment, humiliation, or forced outing.
Threats or encouragement of violence.
Racism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, or other identity-based dehumanization.
Religious coercion, spiritual abuse, or the use of fear and shame to control people.
Contributors may discuss disagreement, harmful theology, religious conflict, or personal transformation. Such discussion must not deny another person’s dignity or right to make decisions about their own life.
12. Theological and spiritual diversity
Pride Faith Voices may publish contributors who:
Remain Christian.
Practice a reconstructed or progressive Christianity.
Belong to different Christian traditions.
Explore another faith or spiritual path.
Remain uncertain.
No longer identify as religious.
Understand healing through secular, spiritual, or combined approaches.
Publication does not require theological uniformity.
We welcome respectful disagreement. We do not welcome coercion, personal attacks, or declarations that another contributor’s identity or existence is illegitimate.
13. Artificial intelligence
Contributors must disclose substantial use of artificial intelligence in submitted writing, research, quotations, images, audio, or video.
Artificial intelligence may be used to assist with:
Brainstorming.
Organization.
Grammar and editing.
Formatting.
Accessibility.
Image creation.
Summarizing a contributor’s own original ideas.
Artificial intelligence must not be used to:
Invent personal testimony.
Fabricate sources, quotations, credentials, or events.
Impersonate a real person.
Copy another writer’s recognizable work.
Create misleading images presented as documentary evidence.
Conceal plagiarism or factual unreliability.
Personal stories must be grounded in a real person’s experience, even when technology assists with editing.
Pride Faith Voices may use artificial intelligence to assist with editing, formatting, research organization, accessibility, promotional copy, or visual creation. Material remains subject to human review before publication.
When an AI-generated or substantially AI-altered image could reasonably be mistaken for documentary photography, Pride Faith Voices may identify it as an illustrative image.
14. Attribution and contributor profiles
Contributors may be identified by:
Their full name.
A chosen publication name.
A ministry or professional title.
A carefully considered pseudonym when privacy or safety requires it.
Titles, credentials, ordination claims, ministry affiliations, and professional descriptions must be represented honestly.
Contributor biographies and profile information should be approved by the contributor before publication.
Pride Faith Voices may decline to publish credentials or claims that cannot be reasonably clarified.
15. Corrections
Pride Faith Voices values accuracy and transparency.
If a published article contains a meaningful factual error, contact:

18. Compensation
Unless Pride Faith Voices and the contributor agree otherwise in writing, contributions and profile participation are voluntary and unpaid.
Pride Faith Voices does not charge contributors for a standard profile or for ordinary editing and formatting support.

Contributors should disclose relevant financial, professional, ministry, organizational, or personal relationships that could reasonably affect the subject of a submission.
Promotional content, fundraising requests, affiliate links, sponsored material, or advertisements must be disclosed and approved before publication.
Pride Faith Voices may decline material that primarily functions as undisclosed advertising.

To report material that you believe infringes your copyright, email:

Your name and contact information.
Identification of the original work.
The Pride Faith Voices page or material at issue.
An explanation of your rights or authority to act.
A statement that the information you provide is accurate.
Pride Faith Voices may remove or restrict disputed material while reviewing the concern.
